A glimpse of wisdom of the techniques which have been handed down from generation to generation as if time had stood unchanged.The frames by Studio Caiafa are made by specialized artisans with precious materials such as gold and silver leaves, marbles, natural stones, lacquering, gilding and handcarving following the needs and tastes of the customer.One of the exclusive creations by Studio Caiafa are the artistic frames with various porcelain handcrafted exclusive decorations made by expert Neapolitan ceramists.Works in biscuit or Capodimonte porcelain are made at the Studio, a peculiar kind of ceramics that can be obtained through a cooking process from 1230 to 1300 Celsius. The shape can be made with plaster casts or by hand in the case of more artistic and complex shapes like flowers and plants. Painted porcelains are made at 750 Celsius.Along with paintings and frames Caiafa Studio collaborates with an old Neapolitan foundry in order to create high quality handcrafted bronze sculptures and decorations with particular care for details and chisels.
